Celephaïs
A dreamer who first visited a radiant valley city as a boy spends the rest of his life trying to dream his way back to it, eventually losing the money, the drugs, and the patience of everyone around him in the attempt. A cortege finally arrives to carry him back for good, on the same afternoon a nameless body washes up on the rocks below the house he could no longer afford.
