The Great Race of Yith

Also on file as: The Yithians

Ten-foot-tall cone-shaped beings who survive extinction-level threats by projecting their minds across time into the bodies of other species, effectively swapping consciousness with a host for years at a stretch. Scholarly rather than violent, the Great Race is chiefly interested in cataloguing the full sweep of history — including, unfortunately for their unwilling hosts, direct experience of it.
