Pnakotus, the Great Race's City
A vast library-city built by the mind-swapping Great Race of Yith, its archives holding recorded history from species across every age of Earth. Its lower levels remain sealed for a reason the expedition's final trench makes clear.
Whereabouts: Beneath the Great Sandy Desert of Western Australia, its basalt roofline barely breaking the surface enough to be noticed from the air.
Access: By a funded university expedition using ground survey and manual excavation; Peaslee's own presence there was less a matter of travel than of memory — he had, without knowing it, already been inside.
