Massive, protoplasmic creatures — described as shifting masses of bubbling cells able to extrude any organ or limb needed — originally bred as living tools and beasts of burden by the Elder Things. Their line eventually developed independent will and rebelled against their creators, and they are among the very few Mythos creatures shown actively hunting the humans who stumble across them.
