The Risen Monolith
A single carved monolith, its origin and builders unknown, briefly exposed on a slab of sea-bottom that sank back beneath the waves within a day of being seen. Whether it has any connection to the sunken city other testimonies describe is a question the archive cannot currently settle.
Whereabouts: A stretch of Pacific seafloor heaved briefly above the waterline by volcanic upheaval, its exact position lost along with the notes of the one man who saw it.
Access: By open boat, entirely by accident — a torpedoed sailor drifts onto the exposed seabed after escaping his captors, with no means of navigation and no way to return.
