This case's second screen appearance (see also Cthulhu, 2007), and the account survives the move considerably more intact than the relocation might suggest — the production keeps the founding family's actual name, Marsh, on a cast list otherwise built around a present-day coastal rental rather than a 19th-century fishing port. Everything the name implies — the covenant, the interbreeding, the offspring owed to the sea — is played straight rather than softened.
