The Dunwich Horror (2009)

The case's second screen appearance, and considerably more attentive to Wilbur's own particulars — his premature growth, the true nature of his parentage — than the family resemblance to the 1970 film might suggest. What didn't survive the move is the geography: the account has been relocated wholesale from the Massachusetts hill country to Louisiana, with an invented quest for the Necronomicon standing in for the original's simpler theft. Lovecraft's name appears nowhere in the film's own credits.
