The Endless (2017)

An invented account — two brothers returning to the isolated commune they escaped years before, and finding whatever kept them there still active — with no dramatization of any chronicle on file. Unlike most entries in this section, the tie here isn't the Archive's own inference: one of the two directors has said on record that certain plot elements were loosely drawn from The Colour Out of Space specifically, by name, ahead of the film's release. Filed with that chronicle tagged accordingly — the first Unfiled Occurrence on record with a named source rather than a coincidence.
