The Colour Out of Space
A meteorite lands on a New England farm and slowly poisons everything around it — crops, wells, animals, and eventually the family who lived there — with a colour that has no name and cannot be described. A surveyor scouting the site for a future reservoir pieces together why the locals call the place the 'blasted heath' and refuse to go near it.
