Underwater (2020)

No chronicle sits behind this one — the account is an invented deep-sea drilling disaster, nothing drawn from any case on file. What earns it a place here regardless is the thing surfacing in the final reel, and the director's own repeated, on-record confirmation outside the film that the creature is meant to be read as Cthulhu specifically, not a generic abyssal horror. The film itself never says the name. The Archive files the two facts — an unconnected production, and a specific identification volunteered afterward — side by side, without further comment on what the coincidence means.
