A reclusive scientist invites his only remaining friend to witness the results of a machine he claims will stimulate an unused sense organ and reveal the countless things sharing our space that ordinary human senses are built to ignore. The demonstration works exactly as promised — and the things it reveals turn out to be just as capable of noticing him back.
