The Horror at Red Hook
A New York police detective investigating a wave of disappearances in a Brooklyn waterfront district follows the trail to a wealthy recluse's sudden late-life transformation and the mixed congregation gathering nightly in his basement. What the detective finds beneath the building outlives the raid that's supposed to shut it down, and outlives the recluse too.
