The Moon-Bog
An American returns to reclaim his family's ancestral castle in rural Ireland and announces plans to drain the bog beside it, over the loud objections of every local who still remembers why that bog has never been touched. The drainage crew he imports from outside the district doesn't survive the first night of actual work, and neither, in every way that matters, does he.
