The multiplied, devolved descendants of a single Dutch colonial family, driven underground by generations of inbreeding and isolation until they lost the upright gait, the language, and most of the intellect their ancestors had. They surface from honeycombed burrows during electrical storms to hunt, identifiable across the whole degenerated bloodline by one inherited trait: mismatched eyes, one blue and one brown.
