The Lurking Fear
An investigator researching a string of mass deaths on a Catskills mountain traces the killings to an abandoned mansion and the reclusive family line that once lived there. What the family became, after generations of isolation and interbreeding underground, turns out to explain both the deaths and why nobody who investigates too closely on a stormy night comes back to say so twice.
