Die, Monster, Die! (1965)
Relocates the account from New England to an English country estate and swaps the unnamed colour for a radioactive meteorite — an explanation a 1960s science-fiction audience would accept without asking further questions. Playing the record's cosmic horror as an ordinary monster-movie premise does the discouraging work of a decoy as effectively as outright comedy would have.
