Color Out of Space (2019)

The record's second screen appearance (see also Die, Monster, Die!, 1965) — and this time nothing was swapped out. The colour stays the colour rather than becoming a radioactive meteorite, the town keeps its real name, and the case is simply moved forward to the present day rather than relocated somewhere safer. A fully financed, festival-distributed production got this close voluntarily, more than fifty years after the last attempt was scrubbed clean, and the Archive has no better explanation for it now than it did then.
