The Resurrected (1991)

Went into production under the working title The Ancestor. The Curwen–Ward account is followed with more care than most adaptations manage — an investigator subplot has been grafted on, but the resurrection work at the center of the record is played straight rather than for shock. The retitling reads less like ordinary marketing than a second, quieter attempt at the scrub the 1963 production below never fully completed.
