Every locality on file, charted only as far as the source account allows. A pin's shape tells you how far the chronicle commits: exact coordinates, a surveyed street, a reconciled pin for a suppressed town, or a region and a guess.
The Dreamlands, a conjectural survey. No witness drew a map, so this is the Archive's reading of the accounts. Bold, graded pins have full Locality records; smaller dots mark other places named in the chronicles. Pinch or scroll to zoom, and tap any place for its source.
The Field Survey is the Archive's interactive H.P. Lovecraft map. Zoom from the whole world down to the streets of Providence, the wharves of Kingsport and the New England coast around Innsmouth; follow the voyages of the Alert and the Emma to the South Pacific coordinates of R'lyeh; and cross to a separate hand-drawn chart of the Dreamlands. Every pin is marked by how far the original account commits to a location — exact coordinates, a surveyed street, a reconciled pin for a suppressed town, or only a region and a guess — so the map never claims more than the accounts allow.
Lovecraft Country, Arkham and Miskatonic University, Dunwich, Innsmouth, Exham Priory, the Antarctic ground of the Miskatonic expedition and the rest are all plotted, each linked to its Locality record and the chronicles that mention it. It is a free companion to the Archive's chronicles, dossiers and localities.
